Shinsen//R2XPO//NYIAS 2026

What's up everyone! Welcome back to another Ptosis Vision event coverage. In the last couple of months, NYC has been on fire. Going from having none other than Mr. Sung Kang visit NYC, The New York Auto Show, then the Daikoku WOM with Sung Kang, and in the past couple of weeks I have caught a few glimpses of Mr. Larry Chen visiting (shout out to the other creators on Instagram). Also, to top it all off, the New York Knicks are in the NBA Finals.

The city has been very active - For me, not so much. I, actually just had a small vacation in Canada and was able to check out one of their shows, along with a cars and cofee (more on that soon), and now I am back in the mix of things here in the city.

So, to start things off there was actually a small event in Chinatown, NYC with Sung Kang. Sadly, work got in the way of me making this event but as I passed by, I ran into a couple cool cars.

Clean E46 and in the background, if you squint, you'll see the VeilSide RX-7 leaving.
Also caught the VeilSide R34 leaving the event.
After this event, was the New York International Auto Show. Sung Kang was a guest here, for a few days. I may not have gotten to meet him BUT, from this photo - I was close enough!
I know the New York Auto Show has always been about the companies bringing their new lineups and showing new technology to the public but some companies like Koenigsegg and the likes, also bring their cars for some of us who may not have seen these cars in person.

I must give major props to PRIME for bringing us the R2XPO at the New York Auto Show. It's always cool to see what is new in the automotive world, which is what most of NYIAS is about. But, R2XPO shows the creativity and expression of the car enthusiasts here in the Tri-State area. Many different models, many different styles built with different purposes in mind.

The AE86 Chassis were out in full force for Sung Kang at R2XPO, promoting his new movie "DRIFTER". His booth area was completely packed with fans waiting to meet him.
I might be a little bias, but sheeesh - what a beautiful set of Nissan's.This car grabbed my attention. Needed to look this one up - a Toyota Corona Mark II. Very well done and in amazing shape. Also displaying another style of the car culture here in the Tri-State area - Low Riders. They may not be an every day thing, but best believe this part of the scene is alive and well.
This wraps up some of my favorite cars at R2XPO New York Auto Show 2026. Feeling a bit rusty lately, so let me know what you think. See you on the next blog.

Oh, and we also need another W from the Knicks in game 4.
