Fit N' Friends Cruise 2024
Compartir
On today's blog, we are covering a big event. With that being said, I'll try to Fit everything I can. I know this event may not be everyone's Jazz, but please stick around to check it out. Am I doing too much? I can stop here, if you're going to throw a Fit about my sense of humor.
Carrying on...
Today we are attending Fit N' Friends Cruise 2024 and one thing's for sure - we have a long day of driving and hanging out ahead of us. After giving my car the wash it needed for the past few weeks at 2am on a cold Sunday morning, I was ready for the event.
Looking at our Itinerary, (shout out to Mr. FitDad, himself for his layout of the route) our first meetup point would be at The Village Blend in Sloatsburg, NY at 8am. As I arrived, with the large number of Honda Fits in the parking lot, there was no questioning if I was at the right place. I decided to grab myself an almond croissant and with the cool temps, a hot beverage was a priority.

To some, the Honda Fit may not seem like a very popular car for the driving and car enthusiast...but here we are - surrounded by stock Fits, lightly modified Fits, track Fits, swapped Fits, daily Fits, clean Fits and tagging along - we have a few Friends.

First, we made our way near and through the Bear Mountain area. If any of you are familiar with these roads, the number 1 rule to keep everyone safe, is to stay in lane. After enjoying these roads, we made a rest stop at a picnic area. Here, we actually bumped into a few other groups of cars that were also out enjoying the roads. The lot was completely packed!

After hanging at the picnic area, we made our way to a Monastery. Which, I must say, the roads to get there were beautiful. Getting to the Monastery, we found a place of serenity, displaying beautiful architecture. I definitely added to my list to revisit on my own time.

The next area, we would visit, is a mountain road that was recently reopened after repairs from storm damage. It rides along the coast of the Hudson River, with a beautiful view of the mountains and an even better view if you're in the area at sunrise. Here, we gathered to drive and hangout and also grab some photos and videos. (Huge shout out to the ones on the sidelines of the mountains, some - even in the road, haha, they know who they are, for capturing those moments).

Most of the group parted ways here but there was actually one more stop....again, we have found ourselves at Mitsuwa Marketplace, Edgewater, NJ. A lot of driving to Fit (I had to, one more time) into one day. Even though I do not own a Honda Fit it was a pleasure being a part of this event.
