46M East 2024

This post is long overdue as I was unsure about the photos I captured but I decided on posting to shed light on such an event. Prior to this event, I found myself surrounded by Japanese cars of the same model with varying generations (see here). Just under a week later, and we are surrounded by German cars - same brand, same model, same chassis - the BMW M3 (E46). Most of these cars are around 20 years old currently and they have gathered at the State Line Lookout in Alpine, New Jersey. This area overlooks The Hudson River and is also a part of the Palisades Interstate Park. The scenery, by itself, is a sight to behold and being gathered here while the fall foliage is in full effect, is a plus.

Getting to the cars - they were staged alongside the walk path in the Palisades Interstate Park. So, if you happened to be doing your daily walks in the park that day, you were greeted by almost 100 E46 M3's with varying styles. Some of these cars have some very unique and rare color combos, while some may have modified their car for an exciting power number. Others have also kept their cars in very pristine condition. Either way, it's great to see these cars being kept alive by their owners at this age. Let's take a look at what we have.

While the event is all about the E46 M3, fans of the BMW brand also show up to appreciate the chassis.
