One thing about the words we speak on a daily basis - they hold value that appreciates over time. We may not know it in that exact moment, but that day will come to see it's appreciation in value.

Over the course of 8+ years, I've worked alongside another individual who has guided me in the automotive world. Prior to meeting him, with his experience, he has learned the tricks of the trade from working at a gas station, to private shops, to then working at a few dealers as a certified technician. I knew him to always be a passionate person when it came to the business. He was always up to date on having the proper tools for the job at hand, always expanding on his knowledge on different jobs and always wanting to get the job done the right way. Most of his career, has mainly involved BMW's. I remember seeing him at the shop, taking these cars apart and when I had the time, I'd find myself at his bay, gaining as much knowledge as I can.

Some may think that automotive mechanic/technician work is all about replacing faulty parts. Truth is - that's only part of the job, it takes more than that. One very crucial step is diagnosis. Sometimes the technician has to be an investigator to be able to fully diagnose these cars. Also...with the presence of electronics in cars growing in the past few years and the systems constantly changing, so has the diagnostic process. But, through all of the changes, he has made it this far.

Recently, he has taken a leap from the automotive dealer life. I'm happy to see where he stands today. I remember hearing him speak on running his own shop for some time and those words have finally been spoken into existence.
