The Ptosis Vision Introduction
Share
What's up, everyone? Welcome to the Ptosis Vision Blog. I am the owner of Ptosis Vision and Ptosis Clothing. I am writing here to share a bit about myself so you know who is behind everything on this website. For starters, my name is Jerron. I was born and raised in the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago and have been residing in New York for the past 16 years! A very big change in living, coming from Trinidad, but so far, so good and I am still here. From a very young age, I have always gravitated towards cars. From the Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars, Maisto and Jada Toys 1:24 scale model cars, to plastic model kits by Aoshima & Tamiya and we can't forget the influence of video games such as the Need for Speed & Gran Turismo titles and then later on...the Midnight Club series.

Magazines such as Import Tuner, Super Street and DSport have also played a major role in influence. But one thing to also mention - with the introduction of the internet, was a website, a very long time ago that had an archive of professional photos of cars (Maybe someone can correct me...was it Fantasy Cars? - Had an orange logo?...Maybe?...Moving on...). Keeping an eye on this website may have given me the "eye" for car photography today. I used to download the photos from that website until someone stole my flash drive in high school. In the present day, with a driver's license, I am enjoying cars from a different perspective. Now, I can enjoy these cars from behind the wheel. Here, in New York, the community for car enthusiasts is huge. With the growth of social media, I was able to find myself in the mix of it at many different events. Naturally, what do I do at these events? Take photos! With what? The good old camera phone to start!

Using the camera phone was easy. Today, everyone has one and it has become a very rare case to be caught without it. Later, I was also gifted a point and shoot camera - the Nikon Coolpix S210. Was it great? I don't know, all I know is to point and shoot. With my limited knowledge in photography, my photos weren't the best but the photos taken at this time captured memories. So, don't always beat yourself up about capturing the best photo, it might be the only photo you have that captured an important memory.
